Sierra Lobo provides engineering, management, and technical services to support R&D, manufacturing, and test facilities. Our expertise includes maintaining and operating several R&D and manufacturing facilities with a replacement value of several hundred million dollars. Many of these facilities have unique complexities in both its mechanical process systems and the associated control systems. These facilities include:

• Large Thermal Vacuum Space Simulation Chambers for testing and validation of space hardware
• Rocket Propulsion Test Facilities for rocket engine testing and development
• Hypersonic Blow-Down Facilities for testing of air-breathing propulsion systems at Mach 5-7
• Cryogenics Research Facilities for testing cryogenic tank systems, insulation, and thermodynamic performance
• Arc Jet Wind Tunnel Facilities for supersonic and subsonic aerodynamic testing of aircraft and aerospace models

Specific areas of our technical expertise include engineering, design, fabrication, assembly, integration, testing operations and maintenance of cryogenic systems, vacuum systems, R&D hardware, special structures and test fixtures, specialized instrumentation and data acquisition systems, complex control systems, and clean-room facilities.

In addition to the operations, engineering, and scientific support, Sierra Lobo has design experience in all life-cycle phases of these facilities. Our capabilities in this area include conducting program evaluation, establishing program budget, design development, preparing approved design drawings and specifications, assisting with bidding and negotiation, and providing construction management services.
