  • 1/14/22 – Wolf Creek Federal Services Employees: Our benefit overviews will be held on Tuesday, January 18th via Teams Meetings. There are two separate meetings. 
    • SCA+Union at 4:30 pm
    • Exempts at 5:30 pm

    Make-up meetings for those unable to attend will be scheduled for the following week.

    Becky Ritz is sending out email​ invites.  The focus of the meetings will be the medical/dental/vision and life/disability benefits, however, Becky will have time to take questions.

    We are collecting the new hire forms in Building 100 (location change from Building 121) Tuesday to Friday, 18-21 January between 9 am to 4:30 pm.  Employees need to bring their Form I-9 identification and completed packets.  Those employees requiring a security clearance need to bring proof of citizenship also.

  • 1/6/2022 – Those employees that will be working for Sierra Lobo: 
    • Make sure that you are completing your new hire paperwork in Paycor, as soon as you are able. Once you complete that, we can start setting up your benefit and 401(k) accounts.
    • You will start receiving information from Fidelity Investments in the next few days, as we begin getting your 401(k) accounts set up for you. Fidelity may send you an e-mail and they may also send a packet to your home.  Please do not disregard this information.
    • You will also receive e-mail instructions in the next few days, regarding how to log in to our benefit enrollment system, BenXpress. This will allow you elect your insurance benefits.
  • 12/23/2021 – Important next steps – Sierra Lobo employees that have begun submitting their signed offer letters, be on the lookout during the week of December 27th. You will start to receive your new hire paperwork, via a secure e-mail link from our payroll provider Paycor. Please complete this information as soon as you are able. Completing this information in a timely manner, will help to get benefit enrollments handled as quickly as possible.
  • 12/23/2021 – Please be aware that the benefit enrollment meetings listed on this page are specific to Sierra Lobo employees. Wolf Creek employees will be updated soon regarding their information.
  • 12/15/2021 – As a reminder, if incumbent employees come to SLI activities during work hours, please do so on your lunch period, or make sure you are charging the appropriate leave charge code. Please make sure to obtain proper approval before leaving your duty station, unless the visit happens over lunchtime. We do not want to cause any interruption to the TEST 2 contract performance. Also do not drive GSA vehicles to any visit with Team SLI
  • 12/13/2021 – Team SLI will be hosting our welcome center on site at WSTF every Tuesday and Thursday, starting on Thursday December 16th. We will be in the conference room in Building 100 from 10am – 2pm.
  • 11/12/2021 – All current TEST 2 employees are invited to attend one of Team Sierra Lobo’s upcoming Open House Events. Please be advised, all open house events will cover the same information, and you do not need to attend more than one. We are going to offer four sessions. Two of these sessions will be virtual meetings utilizing TEAMS, and two sessions will be in person and located in the Student Union Center of New Mexico State University. Please use the sign-up tool below to register for the session you would like to attend.  Please be advised, that the in person sessions will be limited to 100 participants each, in order to maintain COVID-19 safety protocols. The virtual sessions do not have a capacity limit.
  • 11/3/2021 – We are nearing the anticipated start date of Phase In for the TEST 3 contract.  Please visit this site for updates.
  • 11/2/2021 – We anticipate having several open house opportunities over the next few weeks. Open houses will give you a chance to meet Team Sierra Lobo, and to learn more about the transition process. We will offer both in person and virtual options. We will post the dates here for you once they are finalized.

As we prepare for the process of transition, we are asking you to please upload a current resume, that includes a clear outline of your education and work history. Once you submit your resume, the site will e-mail you a brief questionnaire for completion. This is a very brief questionnaire related specifically to your experience on the TEST contract.

  • No, these are voluntary informational meetings to help employees learn more about all of the benefits offered by Sierra Lobo, including the 401(k)

  • We will have our insurance broker, and 401(k) financial advisors in person at the meeting to present information, and answer any and all questions

  • No. The presentation should take less than an hour. We wanted to add extra time, in case people had questions.

    • If someone wants to come, but cannot come until part way through the meeting, we encourage that person to attend as they are able

  • The insurance broker and financial advisors will be able to break off and provide individual assistance during this time as well

  • No. We will not be actually enrolling in benefits during this time slot

  • This meeting is intended to be informational regarding the plans, and how enrollment will work

  • These meetings are specific to Sierra Lobo plans and enrollments

  • At this point, we believe the current leave balances from TEST 2 will be paid to employees by their current employers.
  • Employees will maintain their seniority or service dates, and will transition over to team Sierra Lobo’s leave accruals

Yes, there will be wage determined positions on TEST 3.

Team Sierra Lobo offers up to 12 weeks of Family Medical Leave, that can be used for the birth, or adoption of a child, or for the placement of a child through foster care.

  • Union members will maintain the current leave structure that is defined in the CBA.
  • Non-union members will accrue Paid Time Off (PTO), using their current service dates:
    • 0-4 years of service = 104 annual hours of PTO
    • 5-14 years of service = 144 annual hours of PTO
    • 15+ years of service = 184 annual hours of PTO
  • If there are part time non-union employees, they will receive sick time instead of PTO.
    • Will accrue up to 56 hours of paid sick leave per year

Yes, Sierra Lobo offers up to $10,000 of tuition reimbursement per semester.

Anyone who needs an exemption request, will need to submit a new form, for record keeping purposes. The exemption will be approved if it has already been approved by current contract.

Detailed benefit information will be shared as soon as it is determined which employer the current employees will be working for.

  • Due to the pandemic, we understand that many people have been working from home for quite some time. We will continue this structure until NASA approves more people to work onsite, on a regular basis.
  • If NASA is able to return to 100% capacity on site again, teleworking can be reviewed on a case by case basis.

These employees will be included in phase in. We will work with them and their department regarding their return to work.

Yes, the union has informed us that there are several job changes in motion. We will honor them. If somehow you receive your TEST 3 offer letter before you transition to your new position, please just contact us, and let us know. We want to work with you through these situations.

Team SLI has worked very hard to make the benefits as close as possible between the 2 employers, but there may be slight differences.

There is not a semester limit on the tuition reimbursement policy. Courses must be taken towards a degree.

SLI uses Fidelity.

Exempt employees will have the option to be paid straight time overtime, if they have received approval from their manager, for the overtime

No. Exempt employees receive a Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual. This accrual accounts for both vacation and sick time hours in one bank of time.

Hello White Sands Test Facility  team members, and welcome to the Sierra Lobo Test, Evaluation, and Support Team 3 (TEST 3) incumbent employee site!

We understand that contract transition can be a stressful time for employees, and our goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible for you. The purpose of this site is to begin sharing relevant information for the transition of TEST 2 to TEST3, to begin to share information about SLI for you, as well as to open a portal of communication between employees and Sierra Lobo.
